  • How do I know if my windshield needs to be replaced or just repaired?

    Small chips or cracks less than 6 inches can be repaired by Sal's Auto Glass. Larger cracks or damage in the driver's line of sight will require full replacement.

  • How long does it take to replace a windshield?

    It takes about 1-2 hours to replace a windshield. It’s best to allow an additional hour for the adhesive to set properly.

  • Can I drive immediately after my windshield is replaced?

    No. Wait at least one hour after replacement for the adhesive to cure. We will provide specific instructions based on the adhesive used.

  • Will my insurance cover the cost of windshield repair or replacement?

    Most insurance policies cover windshield repair or replacement with little to no out-of-pocket cost. Please check with your insurance provider for details.

  • What is windshield camera calibration and why is it necessary?

    Windshield camera calibration ensures that the advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS) function correctly. After a windshield replacement, it’s necessary to ensure safety features like lane departure warnings and automatic braking work properly.

  • How long does windshield camera calibration take?

    Anywhere from 30 minutes to a couple of hours. It depends on the vehicle and the type of calibration required (static or dynamic).

  • Can I get my side or rear windows replaced as well?

    Yes. Sal's Auto Glass can replace all types of auto glass including side and rear windows.

  • What should I do if my windshield gets a chip or crack?

    Contact Sal's Auto Glass. Small chips and cracks can often be repaired to prevent spreading and the need for a full replacement.

  • What kind of warranty do you offer on glass repair and replacement?

    Sal's Auto Glass offers a lifetime warranty on workmanship and materials for as long as you own your vehicle. This covers leaks or defects in the glass.

  • Do you offer mobile service for glass repair and replacement?

    No, Sal's Auto Glass does not offer mobile service. We have all the tools, equipment, and space we need to get you back on the road!
